In the next issue of Anne Louise I will be reviewing some stainless steel house numbers from - so far I have to say I'm very impressed! They arrived yesterday wrapped in a funky green paper bag with their label on....the numbers were individually wrapped in recyclable paper with a template for drilling holes, clear instructions on how to install and even sent rawplugs!
Keep an eye out as I'll be uploading photos and details of how the installation went!

This week I had my nails wrapped by Nic Vincent from Envy Beauty Therapy treatments

From start to finish i was made to feel very comfortable and relaxed with plenty of time to pressure to rush the treatment as Nic always allocates extra time for her customers.
It took several minutes to decide which design to opt for and in the end decided on one made by 'Trendy Wraps'...called 'Studded chrome'...
Trendy nail wraps cost £15 there are also minx designs available for £20
My nails where then wiped with varnish remover to rid any dust or grease and then each wrap was applied and touches where made and voila! treatment finished with no waiting around for my nails to dry! I was surprised with how quick and effective this treatment is and will definitely be going back .....i already know which design i want next! The wraps can also be applied to toe nails and can last for around a month...a definite must have for the summer months!

Therapist Nic Vincent is based in St. Austell, Cornwall and offers a great range of treatments including discounts for package deals and options to hold Envy Beauty parties with great offers and freebies for the Hostess... for more information you can either email Nic directly or contact her via facebook...

..........and while your having your treatment you can browse through 'Anne Louise Magazine' as i will be sending Nik a few copies each month.

Heat Magazine Work Experience

Hey everyone, though I would send a little blog while on lunch. Well today is very exciting I am covering the Editor's Assistant's desk, which involves manning her phone. Its pretty cool, sat on the same table as all the other editors. My networking begins ha!

Anyway I made it to oxford street last night and managed to do a stop of shopping. I found an amazing scarf from River Island which is very ' McQueen!' Alexander McQueen is my new guilty pleasure. I picked up this uber stylish designer inspired scarf for a steal at £19.99!! (Photos to follow)

Just ran an eron to The hummingbird Bakery to collect lovely cupcakes! Make sure you visit the bakery located on Wardour street next time your in London!
Iv been really good/boring and not made a major fashion purchase yet, still testing the water.
Anyway must dash back to the office, speak soon lovelys!

Heat Work Experience - What dreams are made of.

The first day starting at a well known Celebrity gossip magazine working on the fashion department is most girls dream, admittedly my alarm goes off at 7am and I really don't want to get out of bed. A phone call from the parents awakes me further, " Are you up yet?" "Of course, I'm just have a coffee before I leave." Ok so I lied, I'm not up, not even close to being up, but the thought of leaving this warm snug bed, to get changed..! Oh no! It suddenly dawns on me, ' Rachel your about to start your first day at Heat, what on earth are you going to wear?!' I decide it would be best if I was to get up and tackle my suitcase for the perfect first day outfit.
Iv opted for a Navy shift dress which is relatively new to my wardrobe, a long sleeved black top, worn under just to dress this look down slightly, a scarf, worn over my shoulders and tied nicely into my look with a skinny belt - my new favourite styling as to be incorporating a scarf as a fashion accessory rather than an item to keep you warm. I finish my outfit off with a grey blazer, keeping my look stylish but corporate at the same time. Styled with leopard print ballet shoes and matching bangle. Gold jewellery and my splashes of designer, Alexander McQueen and a Mulberry Bag. Both very new to my collection. I love to team up high street labels with designer classics.
Leaving the flat and arriving at the station, Trains leaving for London Liverpool street have been delayed unless stated as cancelled, brilliant! I decide to catch the next available train, its a train, the worry of holding back for the next one and it not arriving is too much to think about on a Monday morning. And so here I am, blogging away ( well actually here I am uploading as I wrote this morning) , complete with my own seat, on route to Heat magazine - It doesn't get much better than this! Rachel x

Tiggy's look a like!

Not Tiggy

I have found Tiggy's twin! While searching on the internet I came across this image of a gorgeous puppy waiting for a new home in America. Shame as if she was in the UK she would now be part of my family!
Hope she found a great new home in time for Christmas :)

What's new for 2011

2011 brings lots of changes to Anne Louise magazine, one of which is the January issue will be combined with the February issue. I hope you won't be too disappointed that the issue will be late coming out,  I can assure you it'll be worth the wait.

We start a new mother and baby feature with lots of advice and reviews for mums to be as well as mums who already have their bundle of joy. Keep an eye out for this in the Jan/Feb issue.

On the website there will be changes in the form of a business directory where you'll be able to find a whole list of businesses in your area. Plus a News section to keep you informed of any new happenings locally as well as nationally.
A new best buys section where I track down the latest goodies on offer.

There will be lots more happening as the year progresses so please keep an eye out for what's to come:)
